Registration will take place May 1st - May 31st at the Swarthmore Public Library
SIGN UP FOR SCIENCE IN THE SUMMER
Science in the Summer is a program sponsored by the GlaxoSmithKline Foundation and the Delaware County Library System and administered by the Franklin Institute. The program introduces students entering grades 2-6 to the fun of science. Brief, experiment-oriented courses are taught by certified teachers at the Swarthmore Public Library. Children will learn as they participate in fun, hands-on science activities and experiments. This year’s theme is Physical Science & Electricity.
Science in the Summer will be held at the Swarthmore Public Library from Monday, July 30th through Thursday, August 2nd. Each child will attend one 45 minute class (either morning or afternoon session) Monday through Thursday. The class schedule is as follows:
AM
Level 1 (Grades 2-3) 10:00 am – 10:45 am
Level 2 (Grades 4-6) 11:00 am – 11:45 am
PM
Level 1 (Grades 2-3) 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm
Level 2 (Grades 4-6) 3:00 pm – 3:45 pm
This program is free for participants but space is limited. Selection will be done by lottery. Children entering grades 2-6 are invited to register for the lottery.
Parents must complete a registration form in person at the library for each child. Registration will run from Tuesday, May 1st through Thursday, May 31st.
